Your sales export goes in. The DIR report comes out.
Foundry Road Co builds practical software for the recurring paperwork behind government contracts. First on the road: the monthly Vendor Sales Report for Texas DIR cooperative contracts.
| Customer | PO number | Invoice date | Qty | Amount |
|---|
555 vendors hold active DIR cooperative contracts. Vendors reported 2,077,855 sales lines to DIR for fiscal 2026. Every contract means another report every month, due on the 15th.
Counts are ours, taken on October 4, 2026 from the Texas Open Data Portal: DIR's list of active cooperative contracts and its cooperative contract sales data.
Three stops between your export and a filed report
No new system to learn and nothing to install. You keep exporting sales the way you already do.
-
Send one month of sales data and your blank template
Export sales however your system does: CSV, Excel, a report out of QuickBooks or your ERP. Add the blank template you download from the VSR Portal for that month. Blank any column you would rather keep private.
-
Every line goes into your template, checked against DIR's rules
Customer, brand and product type names are matched to the lists in your template. Extended price is checked against unit price times quantity, and dates against the reporting month. Anything that does not fit is flagged for you instead of guessed.
-
You check it and file it
You get the filled template and the list of flags. Compare it with what you would have filed, then upload it to the VSR Portal yourself.
Where it stands today
The tool is still being built. Here is exactly what exists and what does not.
- Open now
- Free conversions. Send one month of sales data and your blank template, and get the template back filled in, with anything uncertain flagged.
- Being built
- A self-serve version: upload your export, download the report. The files vendors send now are what it is being built against.
- Not yet
- Reports for other contract programs, and a price. Pricing will be published before anyone is charged.
Questions vendors ask first
Is Foundry Road Co part of Texas DIR?
No. Foundry Road Co is an independent software company. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Texas Department of Information Resources.
What does it cost?
Nothing while the tool is being built. There is nothing to sign and no card to enter.
What happens to the data I send?
It is used to produce your report file and to build the tool. It is not shared or sold, and it is deleted when you ask.
What format do you need?
Whatever your system exports. CSV and Excel are the usual ones. Send the blank template for your contract too, because it holds your customer, brand and product type lists.
Who files the report?
You do. You get a file to check and submit, and you stay responsible for what you file.
Do you handle reports for other contracts?
Not yet. If you also report sales under another contract program, say which one when you write. That decides what gets built next.
Send one month. Get a file back.
Attach one month of sales data and the blank template for that month. A reply with your filled template follows.
